this saturday i fulfilled a promise I made long time ago to Kush. we all travelled to imagica. we started a bit late, then we got into a terrible traffic jam at the khopoli exit. at the naka, i had a terrible fight with meetu for she wanted me to keep on the left and i was pressing to the right. she was right. i was wrong. we had a terrible slanging match about it. poor kush! we reached imagica by 11:45. another 30 minutes of being in a line to get ticket meant that we finally entered at 12:15.
we started with nitro. it was frightening and horrible. i felt so scared that i had to keep my eyes closed. then we went to gold rush. that was another roller coaster. another round of horrible fear. I was in no mood for another ride so we went to Alibaba which turned out to be fun. The rickety rollercoaster wagon moved slowly and we had to fire at green points to win points. Kush beat me comfortably. On to Salimgarh. Another gentle ride through the corridors of torture and pain and ghosts and ghouls. Fun time!
Then we entered the Mr India 4dx movie theatre. It was incredible fun. I enjoyed it a lot. We broke out for lunch that turned out to be quite yummy and filling. Especially the mango lassi was delicious. We then went to I for India. I must say I was scared when the platform was raised and for some moments I had to keep my eyes closed. By and by I began to look at the incredible experience turning out on the giant screen. I felt like I was flying. I felt both thrilled and scared at the same time.
Cinema 360 was boring. Deep space was frightening. I kept my eyes closed throughout the ride earning Kush's everlasting contempt. All the thrills were getting banal so we went to Rajasaurus. It was quite good. The ride was gentle but there was a sheer drop towards the end that ended with a huge splash wetting my face but otherwise not doing any damage. We walked over to Wrath of Gods which was a light and sound show. I liked that too.
Detective Pow Wow didn't start at 4:45 as there was some issue with projector. So we walked towards the Scream machine and Dare to Drop. I was scared of Scream Machine. I could never picture myself seated on it while the wheel swung me here and there. So i went to Dare to Drop. That was horrible. I made Meetu sit on it though. She claims to have enjoyed it. I could only stand aside and gawk at her.
We purchased a photo as a souvenir. Kush got a bag of marshmallows that he promptly dropped and lost some of the pieces. The marshmallows turned out to be a waste. For some reason Kush wanted ice cream and I was in no mood to stop for it. It made him shed some tears. Sight of his tears made me angry. I am still ashamed of my reaction. I have to think about it, understand it.
On our way back, I tried auto cruise. It failed. I tried the sporty mode. That too failed. I have to spend some time in learning all about these features.
Kush kept playing songs that he loved from Meetu's phone on our way back home. By the time we reached home, it was 7 PM. All of us were very tired from all the walking that we did but the most important thing is that all of us agree that it was a good, fun day.
